Dare to explore your inner you
ABOUT ME
My name is Sarah Pregmon and I am the therapist behind Inner Hues PLLC. In 2021, I graduated with my Master’s in Art Therapy from George Washington University and knew I wanted to take what I learned to help others share their story through the power of art. After working in Community Mental Health for the last 2.5 years and obtaining my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), I decided to create my own practice driven by the need to find a work-life balance while maintaining connections and facilitating personal growth in others, through therapy. I have 6+ years working in the mental health field, primarily working with Neurodiverse kiddos and teens, as well as children with extensive trauma histories and emotional and intellectual disabilities. Iv’e gotta passion for bearing witness and I am glad that you are here!

WHAT IS ART THERAPY? DO I HAVE TO BE ARTISTIC?
Don’t worry if you don’t see yourself as artistic or an “artist” (even though I believe we are all artists at heart, but that’s a different topic for another day). We are here to focus on the process, not the product. The American Art Therapy Association states that Art Therapy “is a mental health profession that enriches lives through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship.” Art can help give us voice and shed light to the messy and complicated trauma and feelings we experience that sometimes we may not have the words for.
As your therapist, it is my goal to meet you in the present moment, and I recognize that art-making may not be appropriate for everyone and may not be appropriate for every session we have together.

Everyone is different and has unique needs, so not every session is the same! My main goal is to hold space for you to process your emotions , either through artmaking and/or talk therapy. At any time you feel that something isn’t working, tell me! I encourage my clients to communicate their needs and goals (trust me, I wish I could read minds too!).
At the end of the day, this is your therapy- I am here to help facilitate growth and walk alongside you in your healing journey.
